This short series “Man Up” was a deep dive into the hyper-masculine narrative that continues to affect and be attached to black men and aimed to draw out the sensitivity and softness so often not associated with men of colour. There seemed to me a subtle affinity between these men and the flowers they carry; fruitful, fragile and beautiful. If only society treated them as delicately.
